Accessible Design
LDS will work with homeowners who would like to remain in their existing residence through their golden years, to make their homes easier to move around in, to provide safer bathrooms, convenient kitchens, accessible storage closets, and to make the house more energy conserving.
"It was a nice unit to begin with, but the UD features you two developed are both stunning and brilliant. The highlights are plentiful, but I was particularly impressed by the barn door into the bedroom, and the PERFECT barrier free shower.
I'd love to show that shower off to every builder, designer or policy maker who ever told me that it couldn't be done without a step or threshold. You two have demonstrated how simply and beautifully such a wonderful shower is possible, without taking up excessive space either.
I've always known that you two were top notch experts in UD, but it was especially impressive to see your quality work in person. I took several pictures and I hope it's okay to use them for educational purposes. That exceptional unit wouldn't be possible without the best architect and contractor in the business. Way to go!" - Matt Barley, Chairman of Fairfax County Building For All Committee
